A blocked number

quote [ Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) criticized Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee on Friday for refusing to issue a subpoena for Donald Trump Jr.'s phone records to determine whether he received permission from his father to meet with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower ]

I'm sure Robert Muller has already heard that call and knows just exactly who the number belongs to.

I think its cute that the House is going back and forth in their bullshit response, trapped in partisan bullshit, while the giant Republican law-abiding shark that is Robert Mueller just keeps circling closer and closer.

They are going to get him- there's blood in the water, and the entire White House is running around with their hair on fire. Trump was either too dumb or too arrogant to have put a firewall between himself and everyone else, so while a smart criminal would have legally compartmentalized himself off from all of the goings on, and just fed his people piecemeal to the Mueller meat grinder, Trump is knee deep in it, and sinking, and will go down with the ship, screaming "Fake News!" and "Total Witch Hunt!" as the Feds break down the door.

Seriously- I'm Canadian; I have ZERO skin in this game, other than the sheer entertainment value. But anyone who knows ANYTHING about Trump knows he is a career white-collar criminal who built his empire screwing over everyone he could get into bed with, and essentially ruining everything he touched. Go back and read stuff on him from the years BEFORE he ran for President- in the 80s and 90s. He is HATED in New York, reviled in Jersey, and widely considered to be the archetype of the 80s construction-industry con-man, which is why no one in the US would back him with credit on his projects. I am legitimately surprised that no one has found a mafia connection.

What really boggles my mind is "With all of the skeletons in this guy's closet, WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU RUN FOR PRESIDENT?" It is basically carte-blanche to dig up all of your dirty laundry and air it for public consumption. You know if you win, people will start digging, this shit will come into the air, and whatever reputation and standing you DO have will be ruined, so why run?

Hubris?

Idiocy?

Did he possibly think that, at 70+ years old, and a shadow of his former slippery self, that Teflon Don could simply slide through Federal Investigators?

Believe in him, hate him, it doesn't matter- dude is a criminal, and the Shark that is coming for him is a life-long Republican who is essentially untouchable without committing political suicide. And he is moving so methodically, so "lion stalking its prey", that you KNOW he has something.

I totally agree, but I doubt Trump had any expectation that he would actually win. I think he just wanted to capitalize on all the publicity that surrounds the campaign to boost his brand, which was really the only thing making him money, as most of his business investments turn to crap. Actually being the president is a supremely crappy job, as he has quickly discovered. But as egocentric and delusional as he is, I doubt he can ever admit to himself that running was a mistake.

If he wasn't causing so much harm to the country and the world, I would have more sympathy for him as a tragic figure. I suspect he is one of the most unhappy people alive, and has pretty much zero chance of ever finding peace. He is trapped in a superficial, joyless hell of his own making.

16 Cellphones of something it appears

Someone forgot to clue them in that they are called burner phones because you use them once and burn them, or, if you get caught with them you get BURNED.

You do know how investigations work, right?

Slow, methodical, law-abiding gathering of evidence against the intended target?

This is a national-level federal investigation against the President of the United States and his cronies that could have implications for collusion with a foreign enemy power, fraud, election tampering, perjury, and perhaps even high treason, not three counts of misdemeanor public indecency because the cops caught a guy jerking off in his car within 250 yards of a church.

These things don't take weeks or months to complete- they run in YEARS. Clinton lied about getting a BJ from an intern- how long did that investigation take?

Why is it that Trump supporters never seem to actually KNOW ANYTHING about this process, or politics in general? Hell, I'm from a different fucking country, and even I know what the fuck is going on, and how this shit works. They're so adamant in their loyalty, but Christ, the ignorance is astounding.

If, in a years time, they still have not found anything that applies to Trump or the election

I think you have some catch up reading to do.

All of Robert Mueller’s indictments and plea deals in the Russia investigation so far

Oh and prepare your self the indictments are no where near over....start with everyone who was in that meeting in Trump tower.
In case you have forgotten...

quote [ ‘I Love It’: Donald Trump Jr. Knew He Was Meeting With Kremlin-Linked Lawyer
He was told it was part of Russia’s attempt to help his father win the election ]

This was in early June...well before the WikiLeaks document dump. Looks like this is were the deal was made.,

The Smoking Gun

We know quite a bit more about that day now..and we have the testimony of those who have already plead...the wire taps and documents...that have resulted from all of this work...

If you keep listening to Hainity this will all come as a surprise to you...including his arrest for what ever Cohen has been paid to cover up..because he is very likely to be the next one working for Team America.

As far a Trump voters are concerned...even after the billion of dollars spent on false information an slander in a coordinated effort between Trump , The Russians and all right wing media lead by Fox to attack the Justice Department even the part's appointed by Trump himself.

Point is they don't even try to say he is innocent..they all wonder if his lawyer was going to flip on him...not trying to say these things never happened...just will one crook flip on the other...they know.

Oh and about your huge tax cut...haha... congratulation on your well paying job.

Poll: most Americans aren’t noticing a tax cut in their paychecks
According to a new poll, high earners are noticing the tax bill in their paychecks — others, not so much

Nor has there been any hiring that those tax cuts were suppose to bring...in fact the job numbers are down...

Sooner or latter Trump will hurt every part of the coalition that elected him...and the evidence against him will push every sane person to bounden a reassemble doubt ...The only question that is left is will Muller issue a warrant for his arrest or turn over a report to main justice and put it in their hands.

None of that is in the purview of the president of the United States.

If there is a monopoly of Democratic control anywhere then it is because of the will of the voters, or gerrymandering which I’m sure you’ll join me pushing for the abolishment of. Ironically, you’ll end up with even more democratic districts if you do that. Pesky will of the people.

I specifically asked what president could have done in Chicago (since he was supposed to favor it because he’s from there) that he would not have been criticized by the conservatives of the nation for. If he did anything that focused on helping specifically black people in that city, numbers, fish, and possibly even yourself would be on here crying reverse-racism favoritism in a heartbeat.

I think you're trying to back me into a strawman when I made it clear with references to Owen's political views which he publicly praised that it wasn't about Obama specifically but a much broader message.

You're right, some people somewhere would attack Obama no matter what; just as some people attack Trump no matter what. That's politics.

I wouldn't say I get comfort and he's not the first nor the last. When black figures, such as John Legend, make statement like Trump is "against people of color" I am always curious to have them cite an example of what they are talking about. It is never forthcoming and I just take it as a red herring for partisanry. It's a way of suring up that black Democratic base by sheer repetition, rather than fact. I don't think it would be so pernicious if there were not latent fear, which I think is justified based on the 2016 election numbers, that Democrats could begin losing the demographic.

Black voters are actually very split between liberal and conservative and it is primarily racial unity that keeps them electing Democrats. Keeping that narrative alive is far more important than the truth as it is with all narratives.
Taxman said[1] @ 8:38pm GMT on 29th Apr
I just think that it’s weird it doesn’t apply in the reverse.

When John Legend said his statement why is it a specific attack at Trump instead of a statement about the GOP in general? Does that only go one way?

I don’t think the Democratic Party is the best party for African Americans. I believe the party that ridicules the statement “black lives matter” is the worst for that group though.

So between the party that will ‘lie’ to them about helping them (but at the same time support/offer up/elect a black man?) and the party that says racism is dead, all of a race’s problems are their fault (bootstraps!), and has outright reinvigorated the KKK... who are they supposed to vote for?

Millionaires unaffected by a racist’s policy being trotted out as ‘proof’ of a coming racial tidal wave is not as strong an argument as you might think.
norok said @ 4:13am GMT on 30th Apr
I'll give you that; it could be a broad assertion. We'd both be reading into it.

Speaking of offering up for election... I think Kanye is serious about running. And he'll do it as Republican.

I think as we continue to live in bizarro world we're going to see a lot of changes in the next decade. For many years Democrats have been waiting eagerly for the die-off of those crusty old white men that led the party; myself included. But I think the more ardent leftists just assumed that meant victory by default. Because right side of history, and stuff. Instead, the Republican party is taking in the classical liberals and a new generation is taking up the name.
