The Smoking Gun

quote [ ‘I Love It’: Donald Trump Jr. Knew He Was Meeting With Kremlin-Linked Lawyer
He was told it was part of Russia’s attempt to help his father win the election ]

This was in early June...well before the WikiLeaks document dump. Looks like this is were the deal was made.

ow I actually have to say something as I don't know how to delete this.

“Actually, if you look on substance, part of the irony of this media obsession with Russia, is that the Obama administration began with Hillary Clinton bringing a big red reset button to Russia, saying they were going to reset the relationship with Russia, so she and Obama were going to be friends with the Russians,” Cruz insisted. “That’s how they began.”

Does Cruz know what irony is?

"Collusion is not a crime."

The conservative GOP has common values and shares ideology with putin and russia. Nationalism, white supremacy, limited immigration, no immigration from islamic nations, government graft, BigOil and Gas, christianity, and strict moral values - which means, as we know, LGBT are marginalized and punished. They see an authoritarian dictatorship as desirable. In short, anything other than liberalism, and don't see it as collusion if both parties share the same goal. It's simply working together to achieve the world they want. Besides, they asked publicly. As long as national security hasn't been compromised, they don't see it as a crime. They don't see it as an invasion of US democracy. They actually see it as a way to show the american people how horrible and corrupt clinton and liberals are, naturally, since most forums I read suggest the content of the emails is worse than the fact that they worked with another country to get them. Ignoring the fact that they are just as corrupt.

We're all going to hell.

Jager on its own is quite good, especially after a hefty feed of pork knuckle and cabbage. It makes complete sense in that setting. However, there is a special ring of hell reserved for Jagermeister and Red Bull. That particular abomination should be renamed 'The Civil Disturbance'.

Then after the investigation it will be another year of hearings, discussions, and arguments over definitions and intent. Criminality etc. Meanwhile, the GOP will destroy the environment and legislate cultural change for a long while. It already has. That is where the real battles are for the future of the USA along with education. But that battle is already being lost as something like 60% of republicans think higher education is damaging to the republic.

This does not connect Trump "Directly" to the Russian Government. It does DIRECTLY connect his 3 top campaine operatives, the campaine manager, His son, and His Son-in-law and top Whitehouse advisor.

And remember this was in early June...not the only contact the campaine had or lied about having. This is all coming down to Flynn. What we found out today was that the Trump campaine would not only like very much the evidence provided by a foreign government...they would love it.

Is it fair to start yelling lock him up every time we see Jarrod yet? It is at least fair to say yank his clearance.

I'll take the emails at face value, as I do really think the Trump team were naive enough that offered a meeting with a Russian lawyer claiming to have evidence that Russian nationals were funding Hillary's campaign they would have jumped at the chance.

What this story doesn't support is the idea that Trump's campaign were fully aware of Russian government involvement in trying to sabotage the Clinton campaign. If anything it rather suggests they were in the dark about it.

(my [tenuous I admit] logic is if they knew, they would also know that the idea of Russian nationals supporting Hillary was ridiculous, so they would have seen no need to bother meeting with the lawyer)
bbqkink said @ 11:45pm GMT on 11th Jul

Just the opposite it was dropped in the e-mail as common knowledge ...and there was no suprise from Jr...."If it is what you say, I'd Love it"
No... "What do you mean the Russian Government is helping"...Just I'd love it.

Kama-Kiri said @ 11:42pm GMT on 11th Jul
Again, taking the story at face value, Trump and Mandelfort would not have seen this as contacts with the Russian government, but with a private citizen who might have had some useful dirt on the Clinton campaign. It also seems likely that the the whole thing was concocted by the intermediary as a way to get them to agree to meet with the lawyer, who's real business was something else entirely less interesting.

I try to keep an objective view of things. I'm 100% confident in Russia doing all the things they are accuse of. I'm 100% confident Trump's campaign took advantage of everything they were gifted, legal or otherwise. I'm not yet ready to believe that Paul Mandelfort, Carter Page and others high up in the Trump campaign were aware of the full extent of the Russian operation, or sought to influence it, or coordinated with it.
bbqkink said[1] @ 11:56pm GMT on 11th Jul
Why not ...

Goldstone, who represents the son of an Azerbaijani-Russian businessman close to the Russian government, claimed in an email to Trump Jr. in June 2016 that a top Russian prosecutor had offered the father "some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia."

"This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump," Goldstone wrote in the email to Trump Jr.

"who's real business was something else entirely less interesting."

Wow....

"I'm not yet ready to believe that Paul Mandelfort, Carter Page and others high up in the Trump campaign were aware of the full extent of the Russian operation, or sought to influence it, or coordinated with it."

I guess you will have to wait on Muller then...this stinks to high heaven....these lies all have one common theme.
