The legislation is intended to stop groups offering the service - which claims to be able to change a person's sexual orientation - to under-18s... ]
Always good to see, hopefully they ban it from being used on older people as well.

quote [ Human rights activists and medical nonprofits are calling on the Greek government to evacuate overcrowded refugee camps on islands in the Aegean Sea, where an outbreak of COVID-19 would likely cause humanitarian catastrophe. Concerns are especially grave regarding Moria camp on the island of Lesbos. Special correspondent Malcolm Brabant reports. ]
This was inhuman for the last decade ? especially leaving it to Greece to do the dirty work ? but the current political hesitation to get these people out is unbearable.
They're already closing off access for helpers while not being able to even sustain water supply.

Media Silent as Poll Workers Contract Covid-19 at Primaries That DNC, Biden Campaign Claimed Were Safe
quote [ A senior Biden adviser falsely claimed on CNN the CDC had deemed in-person voting safe, and not a single major media outlet reported on it. ]
Almost like they were afraid that Biden's momentum was going to fizzle out if people realized that all the solutions to handling Coviod-19 were the ones Biden has been explicitly denying as part of his messaging.
And then there's the rape accusation against Biden by a former aide and the media's attempt to completely ignore it as much as possible. Yahoo news covered it for about a day before first moving the article to their sports section and then apparently finally deleting it?
HuffPo picked it up, so did Newsweek surprisingly.

#NotDying4WallStreet Goes Viral as Progressives Reject Efforts to Put Corporate Profits Over Public Health
Turns out so many of those workers who were told they didn't deserve $15/hour are essential. Who knew? If only some guy in the 1800's wrote about a theory of value centered around labor.

quote [ German government tries to fight off aggressive takeover bid by US, say reports. Trump was doing everything to secure a vaccine against the coronavirus for the US, ?but for the US only?. ]
Tagged as politics. Pretty clever, because while something like this is unlikely to succeed, it will play very well with the plebs at home

'The OAS Has a Lot to Answer For': New MIT Study Disputes Key Claim That Paved Way for Right-Wing Coup in Bolivia
quote [ "The media has largely reported the allegations of fraud as fact," the researchers write. "And many commentators have justified the coup as a response to electoral fraud by MAS-IPSP." ]
One of the many lessons I've taken since 9/11 is that the US corporate media is absolute shit at reporting foreign affairs. Time and time again they act as megaphones for the US State Department.
The Washington Post article is paywalled for me.

quote [ The conservative nonprofit Prager University alleged the company should not be allowed to place its videos on "Restricted Mode" ]
tech-dirt also has a good write up if you don't feel like giving reason magazine clicks.
TLDR, PragerU wants regulation and socialization only when it suits them.
