I have been speaking with friends over there about this. It's not looking great. Macron is really the most plausible of the least horrible options, but he won't get people excited to vote. Melenchon is anti-EU so he's out. The far lefties never have a chance in France when it comes to the Presidential election (France is much more conservative than people think, don't let the nude yogurt ads fool you). Le Pen is a serious threat since she "sanitized" the right wing.

If France falls as well, things could be very grim.

Whether it is failing or being severely tested, the Eurozone is clearly showing signs of stress right now. Which is not surprising because the Eurozone is under attack right now from rivals and enemies without and from those enemies' puppets within.

That tends to be the response when any large group of people try to accomplish something in their own best interests. It happens even more blatantly when they try to do anything that might (directly or indirectly) serve everyone's best interests.
