quote [ In retaliating against U.S. tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum Canada crafted a list of quirky, mismatched targets for its own tariffs that look more like a MacGyver shopping list than a strategic plan to bring about a change to U.S. policy. ]
Canada's response to the Dumpster's tariffs is designed "strategically to exert maximum pain politically for the president".

Remember who burned down the last White House? Yes, the British. From Upper Canada. But still. |

The only thing worse than trying to read a screenshot of a bunch of Twitter posts is trying to read them on Twitter itself.

i really enjoy Trevor Noah. i wasn't sure anyone could really replace Jon Stewart, but i think he's really stepped up. i like to watch John Oliver as well, but his show is a little more "deep" on the research and grandstanding and his personal "overly shouty" delivery does get a bit stale. I like the BTS clips from TDS where Trevor interacts with the crowd - he gets some pretty great lines off camera, which are clearly his own "material" as its all on the spot delivery. I also like that TDS still has a range of "correspondents" that cover other subjects and are likewise consistently funny.
i don't watch Samantha Bee or Colbert or pretty much any of the former TDS folks that left with Jon. |
