The Absurd Reason Why Tesla’s Model 3 Assembly Line Kept Getting Delayed

quote [ CEO Elon Musk said the company had identified an unlikely culprit in those delays: a “flufferbot.”

As Tesla scrambles to deliver on some 450,000 orders for the Model 3, its first mass-market vehicle, Musk has described the company’s predicament as “production hell.” Part of the problem has been an over-reliance on automation, which Musk recently acknowledged, adding in an April 13 tweet: “Humans are underrated.” ]

I, for one, welcome our robotic fluffers.

If you thought you could build a flufferbot, why build cars?

Please stop worshipping Elon Musk and other billionaires. K? Thanks.

In her March 2017 resignation letter, White recounted the time she told her boss, Seth Woody, “that the plant layout was extremely dangerous to pedestrians.” Woody, head of the safety team, told her “that Elon didn’t want signs, anything yellow (like caution tape) or to wear safety shoes in the plant” and acknowledged it “was a mess,” she wrote.

Tesla says its factory is safer. But it left injuries off the books

A teenage Elon Musk once casually sold his father's emeralds to Tiffany & Co. while his dad was sleeping

"When you’re white, wealthy & emotionally estranged, you view everyone else as an inconvenience at best and a threat at worst. @elonmusk proves time and again he should have no role in planning communities.… https://t.co/seBf1eiGw8"

and all of the above links were just found when I was trying to find this article:
Tesla factory workers reveal pain, injury and stress: 'Everything feels like the future but us' because I remember the author tweeting: When I was working on this story last year, Elon Musk told me that he puts his desk in the most "painful place" in the factory to ensure that he was experiencing as much pain as his workers. I was asking him about a worker that can no longer fully use his hands.

Can we stop please? :)

I strongly suspect Musk is yet another example of someone making the mistake of believing that because they're successful in one field, they're an expert in other fields. Tesla is making the same mistakes GM did in the 1980s.

While I appreciate his frustration and really like Elon, I believe that as CEO of a company he decided to take public he has a duty to his shareholders to demonstrate greater poise in this forum....
