US 'name-and-shame' list of Russian oligarchs binned by top Trump official – expert

quote [ List of oligarchs who had made money corruptly was withdrawn and replaced with list of wealthy Russians taken from Forbes magazine ]

This one's for you, BBQ!

It might have been the case that publishing the list as-received was deemed unproductive, but the slight-of-hand is in itself damning.

So let me understand...
A president who is under investigation for colluding with Russia
has avoided and all but refused to place harder sanctions on that country as well as ignoring intelligence on select business men (whom he might likely to have had dealings with) and removing a list of said businessmen and replacing it with what is blatantly a fake one?
I just want to check my facts on this.

You missed this little tidbit. Here is another under reported thing that happened this week.
The head of the Russian GRU made a little visit to Washington, met with undisclosed officials despite being bared from entering the country.

Russian spy chief paid undisclosed visit to Washington despite being on U.S. blacklist

So, I realize that this is a dumb question
But HOW?
It's not like the entire government is one ball of sticky corruption.
I get that no one who established the rules of government though that rat-fucks woudl totally manage to bypass any of the safeguards they established but becides the current investigation why is no one doing anything?

Good Question wish I had an answer.

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) is demanding to know whether anyone in the Trump administration met with a top Russian spy who visited the United States, after the Russian embassy said he had taken part in discussions on combating terrorism.

Schumer to Trump administration: Who met with Putin's spy chief?

And once again we learned of this from the Russian press.

This is all so depressing.
I wonder how much electoral and legislative reform will take place with the next president?
- not to mention offers of employment to ex State and other officials.

Living in Canada we saw shitty things occur on a regular basis a lot under the Harper gov.
- but it wasn't as fast.

It's funny but most of the things Trump has done is reversible. The Tax cuts are the only thing he has passed through congress. The rest he has done through cabinet secretaries and executive orders. The trick having the government survive for the next 2 1/2 years.

The biggest damage so far is to the norms of government and the trust of the people..that may take a while to fix.

Signed contracts to explore/drill in ANWAR and other public land giveaways won't be so easy to undo.

Oh there is a lot of damage that can be done. There are landmines scattered all over that could blow up at any time.

“It is a serious attempt by someone high up in government to make the US government and Congress look ridiculous,” he said.

NOW WHO COULD THAT BE?
Lets think, someone who would love to discredit the entire government and anyone else to make them look solid, good and brilliant.........someone who values their own ego so high it would benefit them perhaps........

The American voters decided they wanted to put the country back in the hands of the people who created the Great Recession, which we are just finally stumbling out of. Because the country should be run like a whites-only business. So they elected a lying, corrupt, self-aggrandizing, ignorant, soulless racist deadbeat who has never done anything to benefit anyone but himself, and who is obviously being blackmailed by Vlad Putin. And they elected a congress controlled by fear-driven weasels who will stop at nothing to avoid doing their jobs.

But that was last year. What we're seeing now is not even surprising, it's just the natural course of events.

Jesus, you're not even trying anymore.

Nothing gendo666 said was false. The minimum we expect of you is a lame excuse.

I'd rather discuss fan theories of Tyrion Lannister. I like that political fantasy drama. To each their own I guess.

If it's really such a fantasy then there's nothing to worry about, right?
