Warning: Donald Trump has been been known to cause Amnesia!!

quote [ Tom Cotton and David Perdue: We don’t remember Trump using that exact language.

When I went to bed last night it seemed like the White House was prepared to plant its flag behind door number one. But then something changed. Trump denied that he’d used the exact language attributed to him by WaPo. And now here come Republicans Tom Cotton and David Perdue to help him try to walk it back. ]

How much is too much? When will people stop lying for this ass?

I was more than amused today when some people were shocked..shocked to lean that Donald J. Trump is a racist, That is not news to anybody who has been paying any attention...This the Birther #1.

The news here is hardly that Trump is racist or that he is willing to hang on the cross of immigration, that is his base and how he was elected.
The news is the deafening silence. Cotton and Perdue went so far as to lose all recollection of a conversation in the oval office only hours before but the overwhelming response from the GOP is ...Crickets.

Paul Ryan told the story about having a Friend who was Haitian...but that was about it.

Few Republicans have reacted to President Trump's remark about "sh*thole countries" as of Friday morning, a comment which Mr. Trump has offered a vague denial of making.

Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin broke his broke his silence Friday afternoon and responded to President Trump's remark about "sh*thole countries" a day earlier, calling it "very unfortunate" and "unhelpful."

There were the same few...

Jeff Flake

@JeffFlake

The words used by the President, as related to me directly following the meeting by those in attendance, were not “tough,” they were abhorrent and repulsive.

But most responses if any at all were like this.

Sanford on Trump's 'shithole' comment: 'It is what it is'

When does this guy's stink so bad that Link Text Description Goes Here">they worry the smell wears off?

+++++++++EDIT++++++++

I went in to watch TV and saw this...pretty good answer to the question.

The National Review's David French discusses the Republican response to Trump's comments during a meeting on immigration.

It also seem the Churchies are willing to play along...seems that shitholes and porn stares and adultery are OK after all.

First up from the God Machine this week is a look at the White House evangelical advisory council, whose members have remained steadfast in their support for Donald Trump, and whether the controversy surrounding his “shithole countries” comments has shaken his standing among these ardent faith-based backers.

Evidently not. The Washington Post reported:

A few members of President Trump’s evangelical advisory council — including its spokesman — on Friday defended the president after he made comments about immigrants from places including Africa and Central America.

In a statement to The Washington Post, [advisory council] spokesman Johnnie Moore questioned whether Trump had actually made the comments and accused Congress of holding up immigration reform. If Trump did make the comments, Moore said, they “were crass.” The reports about Trump’s remarks are “absolutely suspect and politicized,” Moore said. […]

Others in the advisory group — the only known regular pipeline of religious feedback to the White House — spoke in support of the president, saying that his language may not have been acceptable but that his views are.

It's a Miracle!!!

Tom Cotton and David Perdue:Memory suddenly returns!!!

Cotton and Perdue initially issued a statement saying they did not recall Trump saying "shithole countries." On Sunday morning talk shows, both senators further clarified their statements.

Perdue outright denied Trump made the vulgar remark, while Cotton said he did not hear the comment, and suggested Durbin has a history of misrepresenting White House meetings.

Ben Marter @BenMarter

Yesterday, Senators Cotton and Perdue “could not recall” what the President said. Today they can. That, folks, is a credibility problem. https://twitter.com/facethenation/status/952568567509241856 …
