A progressive agenda would not have advanced because you would've had 8 more years of third way politics undermining actual progress while Democrats blamed it all on obstructionism. Just like the last 8 years. More bandaids easily ripped off, while Hillary's "mandate" would've stopped Bernie from making any real progress in the Democratic Party.
