One of the big concerns I've had regarding VR/AR is that as a "metaverse" fleshes itself out, people will spend enough time in VR/AR that they'll be exposed to numerous bots without realizing it. Each bot interaction will allow for more precise data acquisition of a user's behavior creating the ability for these bot controllers to hone their bot's approach until the perfect customized marketing tool is created for an individual. Ultimately, this would just be a more advanced version of what facebook is doing with all their custom feeds and things, the danger comes from the immersive nature of the tech and the exponentially greater amount of data exposure.
