CGI ‘Influencers’ Like Lil Miquela Are About to Flood Your Feeds

quote [ Lil Miquela may be fascinating in her own right, but the rise of digital humans in social media and elsewhere is just getting started. ]

One of the big concerns I've had regarding VR/AR is that as a "metaverse" fleshes itself out, people will spend enough time in VR/AR that they'll be exposed to numerous bots without realizing it. Each bot interaction will allow for more precise data acquisition of a user's behavior creating the ability for these bot controllers to hone their bot's approach until the perfect customized marketing tool is created for an individual. Ultimately, this would just be a more advanced version of what facebook is doing with all their custom feeds and things, the danger comes from the immersive nature of the tech and the exponentially greater amount of data exposure.

I'm sure the free version will identify itself... Enterprise? Probably not so much. Wait till it incorporates the ability to mimic specific voices ala Adobe's VoCo.

The future is going to be the 80's with more environmental disasters and homeless people. One thing Ready Player One may have gotten right.

Upmod this comment if you remember Ready Player One or the 80's!

I disagree, because unlike the future, the 80s were rad.

I agree with arrowhen. I remember the 80's. They were my Summer of '69. I had sex in the 80's. I don't expect to have sex in the future. (sob!)

She looks vaguely pissed off because you are projecting that on her blank face. My first reaction was that she seemed curious. Probably because I had read the description before looking at "her" face.
