What people like you need to understand is that Trump is not totally stupid. He is good at one thingL playing people. He identifies his marks, wins their confidence, and then swindles them for everything he can. This is the only true skill or talent he's ever had.
Trump can't understand business, finance, politics, current events, or much of anything else. Most likely he had a better grip on these topics at one point in his life, but today he exists in a diminished state. But the one thing he is still good at is playing people. And if you actually believe a word that comes out of his mouth, that means you are the mark.
Trump has no intention of actually building a border wall. He never did. He was only saying that because he thinks that's what his mark wants to hear. Such a wall doesn't serve the interests of Trump or his friends. I mean his actual friends, which seem to include pretty much every billionaire he's ever met. They don't want a wall because a wall is bad for business.
Illegal immigrants are not being kicked out in greater numbers than they were in Obama's tenure. If anything I expect Trump will deport far fewer people during his term than Obama did in any term. This is because actually kicking out illegal immigrants would make it more difficult for the billionaire class to oppress poor communities. So it won't happen under Trump. Once you realize that you will be able to evaluate Trump more critically.
