I don't even know why this was news in the first place - Korea has always been part of the standard WESTPAC cruise deployment. The first thing I thought when I heard that a naval carrier group was heading to Korea, was "and?"

It was news because the Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful military the world has ever seen announced this carrier group was specifically headed towards NK in what can only be described as an aggressive, threatening manner.
So if the idea was to try to intimidate them with a show of force and a threat of using it, major fail. |

Frankly, anybody in the US is already accustomed to dumpsters lies, histrionics, and idiocy. Well, except the press.
I worry about other heads of state that suffer the same sickness sprinkled with paranoia. I made a comment about this the other day. Kim Jong Un will misread the deployment as an act of aggression and launch an attack at S. Korea. Not funny. Now dumpster is considering knocking out of the sky their test rockets. And on a side note, the guy supposedly responsible for the bombs in St Petersburg Russia's subway says he didn't know what the plan was. The kid looks like he's 16 and scared out of his mind. |
