Like, I'm sure he doesn't actually have to pilot a lot, but at least pretend you're capable of being responsible for your passengers?

Formatting made me think for a moment that "Drunk Canada" was the name of an airline.

To prevent unwarranted besmirchment of my maple-syrup guzzling brethren, I feel the need to reinforce that the pilot wasn't Canadian, but rather was arrested while being drunk in Canada.

This happened in my home city of Calgary. It's sort of fucked up that the plane was flying to two more destinations to pick up more passengers before going to it's final destination. The pilot is Czech.
That headline is just bad journalism eh? |

It's a bad headline. But I do appreciate the attempt to locate the story in the world. Lots of times we get headlines in local (New Zealand) new sites that say "Deadly shooting after concert" (for example) and I'm like 'Holy shit!' and it turns out it was the US. Which, is still sad, but a bit less of the big news it would be if it was happening here.
