quote [ The attack in Orlando makes it even more clear, we cannot contain this threat. We must defeat it. And the good news is that the coalition effort in Syria and Iraq has made recent gains in the last months.
So we should keep the pressure on ramping up the air campaign, accelerating support for our friends fighting to take and hold ground and pushing our partners in the region to do even more. We also need continued American leadership to help resolve the political conflicts that fuel ISIS recruitment efforts. ]

Y'know what? No matter what terrible things a Hillary Clinton administration may do, "At least she's not Trump" will still be a valid and accurate observation.
A cursory comparison between this speech and Trump's statements since the Orlando shooting provides ample validation. |

The point is not whether or not it's valid, the point is that you and others use it to silence criticism. You get so worked about how people declare you a defeatist, you talk uninformed shit over the Occupy Movement, you make excuses for media bias, you call people Bernie Bros for not accepting the status quo, you say over and over how Bernie can't win (but you're totally for him), but the second anyone tries criticize the ACA you're the first one in line spouting off how people should be thankful because "it's better than nothing." And that's just the ACA! You're like the Left's 75 cent army. When I vote third party this election, it's going to be because people like you have ensured that even the "lesser evil" is just as oppressive and totalitarian as any "greater evil" the right could offer. At least during the Bush years we were able to criticize the administration's actions without the same people that supposedly shared our ideology telling us we need to shut up and get in line for the same bullshit Bush was doing.
And btw when I go back to downmodding you, as it seems inevitable, it's not because you hurt my feelings. It's because talking to you is like arguing with a brick wall and I've been advised to "downmod and move on" to save my sanity. So just to start things off -1 Inverted Totalitarianism. |

OK, just to clarify, will you be reflexively downmodding any political comments I make, or just replies to your comments or posts? Just so I know in advance when I can expect to be silenced/censored, thx.
