RIP? Early adoption is always more expensive. This is cheaper than expected. I've already got friends that are planning on buying it.

Im looking forward to PlayStation morpheus. I think they will be able to subsidize the hardware in order to boost game sales. No man's sky will bet tits on a plate in 3D.

My understanding is that it sets up a virtual space. Maybe my assumption is wrong, but my guess is that there will be space requirements that are incompatible with my Nyc apt. I can stand in front of my desk, but walking could get pretty hazardous.

Nah. The early adoption time-frame has just been extended to another year before it really hits mainstream. The 2nd generation headsets will be better and cheaper.
