quote [ Widely circulating coronavirus variants and persistent hesitancy about vaccines will keep the goal out of reach. The virus is here to stay, but vaccinating the most vulnerable may be enough to restore normalcy. ]

My parents are refusing to get vaccinated for all the usual misinformed reasons. We don't know what's in it (despite that information being freely available.) We don't know if it's safe (despite the multiple trials and low rates of serious side effects.) We're low risk, so we should be safe (despite that low risk is still a risk and you can potentially become a vector for further spread and mutation). I'm sorry that you feel so strongly about this that you won't come visit your family (despite that it's their fucking decision to put politics over family).
Fuck Fox News. Fuck the church. Fuck the Republican Party. You've damaged my family, you've damaged society, and you've wasted over a year of all of our lives on covid alone. You are filth. |

Good for those churches. There are plenty others that are still feeding misinformation to their congregations. Fuck the church.

The soreness of my 2nd shot has just gone away...I still have peers who do not want the shot...they're also heavy right wingers pining for the drump days.
