quote [ U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant Christopher Paul Hasson was arrested Feb. 15 on drug and gun charges, but prosecutors said in a detention memo this week that he intended "to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country." The Coast Guard flagged him because of internet searches of extremist web sites at work. A search of his Silver Spring, Maryland, residence yielded 15 firearms and 1,000 rounds of ammunition, the court documents say. He "compiled a list of prominent Democratic Congressional leaders, activists, political organizations, and MSNBC and CNN media personalities." ]
It's almost as if having a President who equivocates between Nazis and anti-Nazi protestors and who calls the media the enemy of the people might actually cause problems.
His hit list and Google searches:
In further recent white supremacy news: Publisher Of An Alabama Newspaper Calls For The KKK To 'Clean Out' Washington Goodloe Sutton, the publisher of the Democrat-Reporter, an old newspaper based in Linden, southwestern Alabama, told the Montgomery Advertiser on Monday that he had penned an incendiary editorial calling for white supremacists to "night ride again." But, hey, apparently Jussie Smollett allegedly faked a hate crime, so we can just ignore all this as fake news.

To save our resident NPC the trouble of obsessively spamming exposed hoax crimes to distract from actual crimes, here's a Daily Caller "News Foundation" article listing "Hoax ‘Hate Crimes’ In The Trump Era", which will include all that he would have posted.
There you go, the NPC is redundant now. You can skip his dialog. It must be really annoying to the rightwing media, having found in Smollett a cause célèbre that they could milk to dismiss the current rise in white supremacist activity as "fake news" -- the front page of the Daily Caller, for instance, right now has five articles about Smollett and zero about Hasson -- to be now confronted with an actual terrorist wannabe whose hit list is composed solely of people they regularly demonize. |

Sure, the left wing media will jump all over stories like this. But when was the last time they published an update on the Stalin situation?

Yet somehow it's always the left-wing who are extremists... I think the utter lack of assassin attempts on Trump is proof enough that there's no particularly violent left in the US.
The one I am still trying to wrap my head around is how some right wingers went so far right, so anti-government, they essentially became anarchists, which is supposed to be the extreme left. It's like the spectrum is less a line and more a circle. A very stupid circle. |
