The problem was it was too accurate; it could have been literally copy/pasted out of the comment section of pretty much any American news website that still has a comment section. Further, more to this particular instance and in a broader sense, is it not worth digging deeper and finding out why a person would feel and speak this way? I think it is. When dirty, disheveled, deranged person on the street shouts at me, do I shout back or do I think a little about how we as a society have failed our fellow humans? I'm going with the latter.

I don't mean this in the Cletus Safari sense that the NYT et al. are so fond of. You don't cure measles by hugging the person with measles. You study the disease and develop an inoculation. This will take generations and lots of work and it will never be fully eradicated, but we need to work toward fixing America so that Trumpism never infects our nation again.

I think the whole mall along the border thing could be a pretty good idea, you just go there, step through the doors to cross the border to affordable medication and dental work. Plus it can create employment for a number of mexicans right in their own country. It's such a good idea i don't see why the mexican government won't agree to pay for it.
