This is one juncture where response time can tell us something.

Not really. I'd be surprised if there were anything other than two Pass-votes, if that's what you mean.

I would, too. I think one or both of you are baddies again but voted Pass this time around to avoid outing yourself (or selves) too early in the game.

If you were both innocent, there would have been *two* Nay votes against you -- one from each baddie. No one else has any reason to suspect anyone yet and the baddies don't gain anything by voting Yea for an innocent team, so the only logical conclusion is that the single Nay vote came from the Merlin.

Or maybe we're just typing things hoping suspicion is aleaveated from us.

I like it when people use terms like 'only logical conclusion' in a game that's mostly about lying and trying to see through lies. I thought your opening statement yesterday was a bit suspicious, mainly because you went after me in the early stages of the previous game, but now I'm really worried about where your true allegiance lies.

The way I see it, it's a game about trying to make informed decisions without actually having enough information to do so. My post yesterday was basically "everyone should talk a lot", because that's how we generate the information we need to win. We don't have facial expressions and other non-verbal cues to help us determine who's lying, so all we have to go on is the words people type -- and the more words the baddies type, the more opportunities they have to slip up and reveal themselves.

Plus, we need a steady stream of conjecture to serve as camouflage for the Merlin, so they can drop hints without attracting the attention of the Assassin.

As far as my logic goes, if we assume everyone is acting rationally and playing to win (which is obviously a huge assumption, but if they aren't we're all fucked anyway!) I don't see any other explanation for the single Nay vote. If you have another theory I'm happy to entertain it.

I get that without talking we have nothing to go on. It's just that last time when I started talking you were pointing the blame finger at me just for that. Now you are trying to get everyone to talk more and it's this shift that I don't like. Also, trying to make me and/or shiftace to be a baddie didn't help you much.

As for the one vote, I can totally see one of the baddies voting 'yay' just to muddy the waters and then using that as leverage to spread some lies. Whichs means I trust you even less, because that's what your actions look like from where I'm standing.
