There are multiple species of mosquitoes, , unfortunately a decay of residual DDT and urbanization are actively promoting breeds like Aedes aegypti that seek out humans over animals. Climate change hasn't actually altered mosquito populations yet, but its been a boon to ticks.

I had a bout with bed bugs from a neighbor after the apt was renovated. Suffice it to say I haven’t had a problem since(knock on wood with no termites). I know way more than I wanted to, but the most disconcerting and scary thing, IS THAT THEY SPAWN WITHOUT MATING!!
