I'm a gun guy. Grew up with them, still hit the range at least once a week, was even partial owner of a machine shop that specialized in firearm parts.
I've been around those yahoos enough to tell you with no amount of uncertainty: the NRA has almost nothing to do with the individual rights of the gun owner and everything to do with making sure the manufacturers can sell as many as possible. While I believe that the 2nd amendment rights of the individual should be maintained, the NRA is the last group I would trust to do so. |
