At least the guy was targeting mostly teenagers. They have a lifetime ahead of them to recover and learn from the mistake.

Couple of thoughts:

Real traders are humble about what they do. Buying a $250k car is $7.5k - $38k less in returns you'll make that year. Also, your biggest drawdown is always coming...

Binary options are online casinos. Because who want to go all the way to Vegas? The article points that out in a quote from a government official but a while back I actually sat down and did the math on the implied volatility of their spreads. The house always wins over time.

It's a shame people don't instinctively pick up on these facts.
