Justice demands 1.3M IP addresses related to Trump resistance site

quote [ “In essence, the Search Warrant not only aims to identify the political dissidents of the current administration, but attempts to identify and understand what content each of these dissidents viewed on the website,” the company’s general counsel, Chris Ghazarian, said in a legal argument opposing the request.

The warrant, dated July 12, says that authorities will seize any information constituting violations of D.C. code governing riots that involve individuals connected to the protests on Inauguration Day.

More than 200 people were indicted on felony rioting charges in connection with the protests in Washington on Jan. 20. ]

An Enemies list...more Nixonian every day.

In a related story. It seems that a lot of the klansmen who were in the torchlight ceremony were very well lit and they had forgot their little pointy hats. It seems that torch light is very good for taking pictures and the were more camera than clansmen...some are getting famous in their real life.... a few are looking for new jobs all will be enshrined forever and easily identifiable in future endeavors.

Here's a wrong-doxxing example:

Professor wrongly identified as Charlottesville marcher

I'm sure there'll be more.

A little History and a point of relevance with neo confederates /Nazis / the KKK / the names they have called themselves have changed but the core principals are always the same.

Maddow: Racism 'a persistent infection' in white American culture

Rachel Maddow looks at the deadly racist violence in Charlottesville, Virginia in the context of other instances of white supremacist violence in the modern era, as well as what makes the weekend's tragic events unique.

What gets me (I guess it shouldnt by now) is that there are Twitter accounts out there dedicated to doxxing the Alt-Righters that continue, unbanned, in clear violation of Terms of Service.

Rules for thee but no for me.

try complaining about those accounts to someone with the ability to affect them.

One thing I've learned about life is that when you're trying to police the actions of millions of people, the behaviour of some will slip through the cracks. But, when brought to attention...

He's complaining here and I hope he's complaining on Twitter, as I do. The address over there is @jack

How about you put your self-righteous money where your mouth is and demand that both sides be treated equally (yes, here and on twitter)?

How about you denounce doxxing and demand that antifa take their masks off?

now the death and destruction seem to be calming down it is time to look at what Trump will do this week.

three stories that are likely to shape the week's White House news, including Reince Priebus talking with Robert Mueller, a Kushner associate in legal trouble, and a new look at sketchy Trump real estate deal.

And if that ain't enough north Korea has been observed moving missile launcher early this morning...oh hell what could happen

I'm bored with trump. Can't I wait until it's finished, and then binge-watch the whole thing?

He'll get 2 terms. I don't say that from a standpoint of support but probability.

I've lived through double Clinton, double Bush, and double Obama. All were divisive and hated by the opposition. The incumbent advantage cannot be understated.
bbqkink said @ 9:29pm GMT on 15th Aug
If you can see any similarity in any of those three to the first 200 days of Trump you need to call the doctor your classes as broke ...did you see him set himself on fire today? Even the GOP will run now.

and you keep replying to him as though he had any redeeming qualities or anything whatsoever to contribute to a discussion other than trolling.
bbqkink said @ 10:17pm GMT on 15th Aug
You got a point. He still as far as I know still hasn't denounced the Nazis and I said that was the last straw for me...and then forgot...hell I'm old I can do that.
norok said[1] @ 11:55am GMT on 15th Aug
Changed my mind... I'm not OK with this.

The FBI has been infiltrating the KKK for decades. They are trying to get a handle on antifa for being relatively new. Sympathize with them all you want but antifa's stated goals are of violence.

Still, people should be able to assemble. That includes online. Such a razor line between good and constitutionality.
rylex said @ 5:38pm GMT on 15th Aug
i'm glad you came around.

regardless of what side we're on politically, we should all be on the same side against our current government.

and when I say 'current' i don't just mean the Trump administration. I mean all government in power for the last 50 yearsish

And we all know the constitution is above reproach and written by god, right?
backSLIDER said @ 10:42pm GMT on 15th Aug
I don't think the constitution is beyond reproach but I'm not sure what you are saying. Can you explain it to me as if I were a child?
C18H27NO3 said @ 11:03pm GMT on 15th Aug
You are not a child. I sense some snark. Am I wrong?

All I was referring to was the cons seem to think the constitution is something to adhere to as though it were the word of god. Originalists, which comprise a good portion of the republican party (see Gorsuch), seem to think the only thing that's important is following the constitution to the letter, with no interpretation in the modern sense. Anything not contained in the document is legal and morally acceptable.
