personally think its more challenging. Like the Ken Ham v Bill Nye debate. Yes, if your goal is to dismantle your opponents arguments while fortifying your own, you won't really win. The goal should be to get your opponent to dismantle their own arguments, in such a clear and unavoidable way that even their supporters will talk about how bad the person did in the debate even if they can't admit the views being defended were the problem. If you're not willing to approach it that way, better to not even debate at all.
