Corporate Democrats Are Already Punching the Left Ahead of 2020

quote [ National polling shows that the U.S. public strongly favors bold policy proposals that Sanders has been championing for a long time. On issues ranging from climate change to Medicare for All to tuition-free public college to Wall Street power, the party’s base has been moving leftward, largely propelled by an upsurge of engagement from progressive young people. This momentum is a threat to the forces accustomed to dominating the Democratic Party. ]

And as always they are using identity politics as the cudgel. And once again putting black women as the counterweight.

The struggle is far from settled but the battle lines are looking very familiar.

Maybe best exemplified by this comment.

There will no real social progress in this country unless we have the courage to take on Wall Street, the insurance companies, the drug companies, the military-industrial complex, the fossil fuel industry, the prison industry and all the other forces of greed.

There are too many of these type of comments to be random they are organized movement the question as always these days is funded by Who?

The logic seems to be convince black folks that the courage to take on Wall Street, the insurance companies, the drug companies, the military-industrial complex, the fossil fuel industry, the prison industry and all the other forces of greed.

Should be secondary to the end of racism...like any law could do that. I'm not black be but. A cooperate Democrat that is black and a woman ...is still a cooperate Democrat.

There was just a guy on CNN. Old timey fellow from the Clinton admin. He goes something along the lines of 'well I think whoever it will be will probably be a woman, probably a woman of color. something that can get major support from the base.'

It made me want to blow my brains out a bit. I got nothing against women or women of color...but fuck me, can we talk about their politics? Because I vote on the politics. I didn't care Obama was black. I didn't care HRC was a woman (and I only voted for her as a lesser evil thing, I've never been a fan, she's practically an old guard republican)...and in 2020 I'm not going to care what race or gender they are. I don't care if they're a black pansexual dragonkin, just say 'medicare for all' loud and clearly and you're above most of the fucks the media is talking about.

Also, I find it funny that they pretend there are all these "mystery" candidates that are going to come out of nowhere and run for president. Why can't he just say what he really means: Kamala Harris.

I guess this is a case of take care what you ask for. This is going to be a wide open primary...all viewpoints will be on display and each will compete for a slice of the electorate...will be educational and wild. Still the field looks to be over 20+.

Democrats have 2020 decisions to make as they enter the new year
