Democrats Are Wrong About Republicans. Republicans Are Wrong About Democrats.

quote [ The defining divide in American politics is probably between Republicans and Democrats. It encapsulates all our other divides — by race, education, religion and more — and it’s growing. This partisan divide is such a big part of people’s political identities, in fact, that it’s reinforced simply by “negative partisanship,” or loyalty to a party because you don’t like the other party. ]

"And this is why I hate you, And how I understand, That no-one ever knows or loves another." - Robert Smith

It's not just the Coastal Elites who don't know what's on the other side of the divide.

Perry Bacon Jr of Five Thirty-Eight discussed the phenomenon with On The Media.

Who Do We Think We Are?

The category is People, not Politics, because there is very little policy, if any, when it comes to partisanship for most. It's identity politics all around.

I am starting to realize that the choice of the word "collusion" was a genius semantics choice by trump and his allies. That's why I quit using it. This is a legal frame carefully chosen which there is no way to legally prove it. It's an abstract concept akin to proving eye-contact from witness testimony, during a trial.

Team Mueller is looking at is conspiracy. This is why none of the indictments so far have collusion in the charging documents and why they never will...every time somebody is charged - a quick "see there is no collusion!" tweet comes forth from the WH. Imagine that.

Every time, the media, lets trump get by using the "no collusion" line they are doing his bidding. Gotta give the guy his props for successfully hijacking the narrative on this.
