Another conspiracy falls apart in the light of day.

quote [ FBI Agent Peter Strzok Scorches GOP in Testimony Fit for Aaron Sorkin Script ]

I have lost track of them. They were non stop for a while.

Kellyanne Conway: 'microwaves that turn into cameras' can spy on us was a classic though.

And who can forget Uranium One

I finally had the chance to sit down and listen to a lot of it myself:

Complete exchange between Rep. Trey Gowdy and FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok
YouTube: Complete exchange between Rep. Trey Gowdy and FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok

It was grinding to watch as Congressional Democrats circled the wagons for this guy and did everything they could to obstruct the proceedings and protect "their man."

I think what needs to be cited more often in the media, and I know you of all well informed people would know this, is that he was an investigator in BOTH Clinton and Trump investigation (the latter of which he was lead) and yet in his private moments belied a clear favor towards one and animus against the other.

Did that clear favor and animus impact his ability to carry out his duties? I do not presume to know what is in people's hearts. But your man Mueller thought it was enough and let him go. Meanwhile other investigators that did such things as attend Hillary victory parties were left on the case.

I'll give it to him that he had a rousing speech at the end. I will even go so far as to say he probably believes what he said about democracy. But at the fever pitch everyone in the US is at right now I firmly believe that given the opportunity some of his staunchest opponents would stop at nothing to see him out of office.

Several posts ago when these texts first came to light I made a comment about this demonstrating bias within the FBI against Trump. You were extremely quick to jump in to call it a single actor... not indicative of any widespread bias within the FBI at all.

Some time later the Inspector General released it's report, which I think you had another post on here about much with the same sort of air about it of "Nothing to see here!" Missed in the mainstream coverage were the bits uttered but agents OTHER than Strzok and Page:

I can suffer the ignorance of others. In fact, I relish here on SE. What bothers me is not that you are uninformed, that I could never accuse you of being, it is that you are willfully ignorant of certain thing going on because your hatred trumps all other considerations.

It is very important to you that the FBI's reputation remain solid. I share this feeling... but for different reasons. You want to ensure that all the proceedings against Trump go on with no technicalities that could stand in the way of his downfall. I want to see this institution remain the foremost respected law enforcement agency in the country. We both want to see Mueller's investigation end and when it does, with a press conference having found nothing resembling the conspiracy theory peddled all these months, there be no technicalities that the Democrats can weep and wail over.
