How the Trump Organization's Foreign Business Ties Could Upend U.S. National Security

quote [ Trump’s global deals would make it impossible for him to conduct foreign policy in many countries without padding or depleting his wallet. ]

We have spent a lot of time talking about possible conflict of interest with Hillary at the CGI, at the same time ignoring Trumps real conflicts and known illegal activity surrounding his foundation. Looks like the truth is about to come out about that and his business dealings that are a definite conflict..

This at the same times as the NY AG has started an investigation into his so called charity .

New York attorney general opens probe of Trump Foundation

We know of at least three illegal acts committed there already, The Bondi conection isn't over yet, not to mention the fact that he doesn't give any money to his own charity.
The reason for that is pretty obvious ..he doesn't pay taxes and has no need of deductions for charity. Which is what this all about...Where are your tax returns???

I told you all some time back this was all coming. It is all preparations for the debates. The number one question will be...where are your tax returns...
The news week story is just a bonus, the rest of this was all planed. The Clinton campaign wants to put the taxreturns center stage so the moderator has to ask him about them.

The other part of that strategy was to have her start talking about what some here have been asking for...her progressive policy proposals. The illness has put a kibosh on that but look for that to start Thursday.

The third part of that plan is to release the surrogates to pound trump. President Obama led of the parade yesterday and was impressive.

President Obama Blasts Donald Trump in Fiery Speech Supporting Hillary Clinton

It was no coincidence it was held in Philadelphia either. Trump has to win Pennsylvania there is no other path to 270. The firewall is in that state. The rest of the surrogates will be in Ohio, Indiana any other state they think Trump has to win and that they might have a chance in. Not only that you will see what the Clintons consider key counties and cities.

All and all yesterday was the best day Clinton has had since the debates and she did it while taking a nap in New York.

There was the Colin Powel emails...

Colin Powell, in Hacked Email, Calls Trump ‘National Disgrace’

And there was a second shoe that had dropped in what some of us feared would be a real scandal.

New Documents Released From Hack of Democratic Party

Not only no bombshell but crickets ...didn't even make the news. That doesn't mean this worry is over there will be more to come...but so far so good. all and all a Good day for the Clintons.

On to the debates....

I've only heard NPR ever bring up Trump's possible conflicts of interest regarding his international dealings, and even then it was only in passing and it's been a long while since I've heard any more about it. The one that's stood out in my mind was him owing millions to Deutshe Bank, which would make him the only president in history to be personally on the hook to a foreign financial entity.

And legally he doesn't have to do anything. If he was going to have to be in any other part of the government he would have to divest, but not so for two people, President and VP.

New report to expose Trump financial ties

Yeah, one would think Dick Cheney would've been a big enough warning about putting people in office with so many ties to private companies, especially ones with "international" interests.

I've heard it brought up on Nightly Business Report and Newshour as well, but like you said only in passing.

Trump Foundation Investigations Now Multiplying

The alleged wrongdoing divides into two main categories.

"The editorial board added that the available evidence surrounding the foundation suggests Trump “is a scam artist.”"

That’s not an unreasonable conclusion under the circumstances, but I wanted to add one related point to this. As best as I can tell, this charitable foundation is the only meaningful proof of Donald Trump’s philanthropic side. Trump has apparently had great financial success in the private sector, but his record of helping others is far thinner.

Editorial board argues, ‘Even Trump’s charity is a scam’
