Good to have the full text, but yes, the deliverly is a bit weak. But +1 for getting the whole shebang.

If Frederick Douglass had had the powers of Lord Vader, I suspect Emancipation would have come quite a bit sooner.

James Earl Jones should really do a Frederick Douglass bio pic. He'd be perfect.

Except for his bearing no resemblance to the very intense-looking Douglass and also now being 85 years old. Douglass would have been around 34 when he gave this speech. Maybe he can do the voice-over for an animated biopic.

Good point. I think I tend to imagine Douglass in his later years with that awesome white hair and beard.
