On the one hand, any death is sad news.
On the other hand, I hope this means they'll never reboot this franchise. |

"Threatens." What a refreshingly accurate word.
And I think I heard an interview long ago with a head writer for Alf on NPR's Fresh Air. If I remember correctly, he talked about always being on cocaine to deal with how stupid his life writing for this muppet had become, and he was trying to write so crappily he'd get fired, but the producers kept loving his work, further causing his spiral into depression and substance abuse. |

I saw him back when he was still one of the highlights of The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. It must have been the mid to late 70s. All I remember is Michu and the guy who walked on the outside of a giant, turning, counterbalanced pendulum thing, blindfolded. I went to see RB and B&B again in the 90s and was terribly disappointed. The main theme was, "Clown TV." It was awful.

Since she "shows up" in the sidebar, I figured that this should be posted. Janet Waldo, voice of Judy Jetson (amongst others) dead at 96.
