How Black Millennials Stole A Goofy Movie From Disney

quote [ In 1995, A Goofy Movie was nothing more than an $18 million corporate afterthought.

From the character's literal foundation in 1930s minstrel shows to the studio completely burying its theatrical release, history repeatedly proved that Disney executives had zero respect for this project.

They expected it to quietly fade into obscurity.

In this video, we are breaking down how Black millennials took a studio throwaway and turned it in to pure Black joy. ]

Stand Out is still one of my favorite songs. ❤️

Never saw it. I never saw Space Jam or The Lion King, either.

Honestly I think a Goofy Movie is better than either of those.

Space Jam is using celebrities to hype up other celebrities. Feels like masturbatory idol worship honestly. It's great, with good music, but it's basically pure capitalism.

The Lion King is shakespeare for children.

A Goofy Movie an "original" story (awkward nerd struggles with self, family, and love, to eventually get the girl). It's basically a romcom. But it's also a super feel good movie about friendship and courage. And the soundtrack is a fucking banger.
