This took longer than I expected, really. Also, cockmongers take note: "the ridged fins don’t feel as harsh as they look.” is about the least appealing description of a sex toy I've heard in a long time.

I personally find this movie to be a bit disconcerting. Not because of the fish dicks, (fish sticks?) but because I'm starting to work on a web comic in which the Creature From the Black Lagoon befriends a little girl in 1957. The publicity photo of the lady and the fish man looking at each other through the aquarium glass is so uncannily close to one of the planned comic panels that everyone's going to assume I copied it. Actually, the story began forming in my mind about a year ago. Oh, and there's no sex in it.

I know exactly how you feel. I am very worried that my own upcoming original stageplay "ManBearPig: A Love Story" could be dismissed as just a copy of The Shape of Water.
