In simplistic terms, some ADHD drugs narrow the decision range in this area of the brain, i.e., less gray-scale. I've questioned psychiatrist friends about the implications for the spiritual development of an individual, having their decision matrix narrowed to a more black and white palette through treatment. The answer always comes back that they are treating people whose decision process is too scrambled to make use of the concept of a palette without treatment. In any case, it is noteworthy the direct connection between what we think of as "our" decisions and our neuroanatomy.
