He could not confirm if there was only one or multiple gunman. Anthony Torres told Sky News he was outside the club when the shooting began and confirmed that he thought more than one person was involved in the attack. He believed the shooting lasted between 15 and 20 minutes."

Wasn't it a hostage situation for a while? If there were demands made and negotiations I imagine the police already have a pretty good idea of motives at least.

"Law enforcement officials identified the suspect as Omaar Mateen, who was born in the US in 1986 to parents from Afghanistan, and lives in Port St. Lucie. He used an AR-15 assault style rifle and a handgun in the attack."
