I feel bad for pigeons. For ages, humans raised them. We used them for food, for sports, for aesthetics, for communication. They assisted us in war. We domesticated them to depend on us to some extent. We brought them to strange, new worlds and environments.
And then, we grew tired of them. We had new tools. We discarded them and then decided that they were gross prests. We made them, brought them here, then abandoned and reviled them.
Pigeons deserve better from us.
