Respectfully disagree. These people are acting in bad faith. They know that many of the norms that keep society running and all of us acting respectfully are just that - social norms without formal enforcement mechanisms. It's how Fox News can get away with spewing propaganda 24/7. It's how Trump can become president and nearly overthrow the government. The only difference here is that Alex Jones no longer has the backing of those in power, and he crossed the line between breaking social norms and the law. In fact, I'd argue that him suing his own company is further proof of this -- when something doesn't work, these people try to break as many norms as possible to muddy the waters and provide cover for themselves.
