Special snowflake sues for a safe space

quote [ James Damore, a former Google engineer who was fired in August after posting a memo to an internal Google message board arguing that women may not be equally represented in tech because they are biologically less capable of engineering, has filed a class action lawsuit against the company in Santa Clara Superior Court in Northern California.

His claims: that Google unfairly discriminates against white men whose political views are unpopular with its executives. ]

The look on his poor lawyer's face.

Damore and Gudeman’s lawsuit will bring evidence to support the contention that Google shows greater tolerance for, “employees who sexually identify as yellow-scaled wingless dragonkins, or expansive ornate buildings'" (no, I am not making that up), then for fundamentalist Christians, or political conservatives. But it’s chief accomplishment will be to much more than shedding light on a creepy corporate culture - It will question if same bizarre philosophies that govern the workplace, also inform the algorithms the company produces.

If the world's largest conduit to information, and the world’s biggest censor, has a zero-tolerance policy for anything “un-Googley”, how much of that zero-tolerance leaks into our everyday lives, impacting what you and I are reading and seeing online.
