quote [ Avril et le monde truqué (original title)
1941. France asleep in the nineteenth century, governed by steam and Napoleon V, where scientists vanish mysteriously. Avril (Marion Cotillard), a teenage girl, goes in search of her missing scientist parents. ] I am a huge fan of French animation.
I can't wait to see. I just wish I could see it at my local theater...

You'd think once you get used to subtitles a whole new world of entertainment would open up to you, but instead I just watched a lot of anime.

Some of my favorite foreign movies are dubbed, not subtitled, just because of the terrible dubbing.
Animation is less of a 'problem', but I usually enjoy watching movies in their original version. |

See, dubbing throws me off so much that I can't even enjoy the so terrible, it's good stuff.
I did go through a very shortlived stint if downloading and watching all the french films i could find but it didn't last. Stuff like Amelia and one about a rich white deniro guy with a black driver. You can tell how well it stuck with me. :) |

IMO, the real star is not Marion Cotillard here. it is Jacques Tardi
