Fortunately? I want him to lose by a slim margin, register as an independent to get back in the race, and split the vote. Not expecting that to happen, but a boy can hope.

Anyone care to try to game this out?
I still cling to what Nate Silver said before it all started: yes, 30% will vote for Trump, but 70% will never vote for him, and he can't win anything unless that changes. Anyone-but-Trump delegates will outnumber Trump delegates, so whoever is left standing as the anyone-but-Trump candidate can pool everyone else's and win the nomination. Is that still good or am I missing something? |
