End of Japanese Community, Mozilla Doubles Down on AI

Via a Firefox subreddit moderator: Some translation teams had been assigned a bot that moves fast and breaks things, leading to the Japanese community stepping down last month.

Auto-translation seems to work better for some languages than others. Also, the bot is Gemini-based.

AI is actually F(ake)I, and too many organizations aren't willing to admit that. I guess we're cursed to live in interesting times.
