Essentially, the SPERS Core isn't just a power plant; it’s a Nuclear Thermal Rocket (NTR) currently running in "captive" mode. You’re using the hazardous waste not just as fuel, but as reaction mass. With a little tuning, that "ash output" becomes "thrust."
