Scientists are turning data into sound to listen to the whispers of the universe (and more)

Just thought this was kind of cool.

I like how when you translate this data into sound it sounds like early electronic music.

Wasn't there a time, when some landing preocedures were downloadable as MP3s?

Not sure, if these were audio recordings or data-as-audio. Upon searching for it, I found this though:
