quote [ We plant trees where they’re needed most
Our trees benefit people, the environment and local economies. ] I heard about this on my comic's hosting site. They use the revenue they earn from your searches to plant trees and it doesn't cost you anything! It works like DuckDuckGo and I'm up to about thirty trees!

The thing is, I tried using DuckDuckGo because Fuck Google, and it was okay I guess. But somehow the sweet information I craved didn't flow in the same way. I felt like a drug addict on a substitute. And then when I used Google again, it was like I had ditched the methadone, run back to my dealer clutching my family's ATM cards, and Oh! The heroin felt so good as Lou Reed played on.

Ecosia is mirroring Google results and DuckDuckGo does the same w/ Bing/Yandex – they don't build their own indices.

Maybe I just find Bing less than enlightening then. Or it could all be in my mind.
But I just tried searching for "Sensible Erection" on both, and got different (but similar) results. Also, there's a mention of SE on TVTropes. Block Puzzle. Subverted in the free RPG from Sensible Erection. At one point the party encounters a block puzzle in an ancient Pyramid. The pirate character of your party proceeds to whip out a bazooka and mutter: "I hate block puzzles." Heh. I never actually played the SE RPG. It'd be fun to make a new one, if I didn't already have eight stacked projects. Including taking the leaked source code and adding a new "utterly pornographic" mode to Leather Godesses of Phobos. |
