Do Trump's Lawyers Know What They Are Doing?

quote [ Here’s the problem: the townships and precincts listed in paragraphs 11 and 17 of the affidavit are not in Michigan. They are in Minnesota. Monticello, Albertville, Lake Lillian, Houston, Brownsville, Runeberg, Wolf Lake, Height of Land, Detroit Lakes, Frazee, Kandiyohi–these are all towns in Minnesota. I haven’t checked them all, but I checked a lot of them, and all locations listed in paragraphs 11 and 17 that I looked up are in Minnesota, with no corresponding township in Michigan. ]

For those not watching the "please keep me out of NYS-DOC for the rest of my life" reality show - here's the latest shitshow from the fatberg in charge. $20000 a day - that's what Rudy is getting paid.

This may explain the withdraw of so many Trump lawyers. I would speculate that they presented evidence in good faith on the proffer of the client that they subsequently found to be false. Since they can't present a case knowingly relying on false evidence and they can't withdraw the evidence without implicating the client, the proper thing is to ask the court to dismiss ( but requires the clients consent) or withdraw if you can. (this happened to me once)

TL;DR No. No they do not.

Interesting that even a blatantly pro-right outlet like Powerline can't ignore the stink of this latest Republican tire fire.

It's frightening that our only saving grace is that the fascists are run by incompentents. Can you imagine if this was Cheney running the show, and how fucked we be then?

The job qualification seems to be the extent you’re willing to debase yourself to Donald Trump, so you can’t expect a deep pool of talent.

The US just elected a blue law and order ticket. Be careful what you wish for.

They're just doing what they're paid to. The whole point of the court cases isn't to win - it's to put on a show to go along with the ongoing panhandling Trump is working on his base - he's skimming and splitting 60/40 with the RNC on election fraud donations. The show is just to drag it out as long as possible so he can keep milking the cash cow while it lasts. The RNC needs money to fight the Georgia Senate runoffs and Trump needs money to fix his legal and financial problems once he leaves office. This is just a cute little arrangement where they get to pretend at drama to milk the base for cash.

And it's not only just cash. Months of questioning the election just embeds it into a certain demographic, to be used for four years of what they will constantly call an "illegitimate" president. Not only do they need a cash cow, they need a demon to hang their hat on, and sell it until the midterms and 2024 to "get out the vote.' The same way the 'unconstitutional" ACA and "the wall" was used.

It's gonna be "Stolen Election for Socialism!"
