This doesn't sit right with me, in a "let's take attention away from overcoming systematic generational racism" by this silliness. Richmond is 47% majority black, able to come up with a better idea than this. Maybe something which celebrates the defeat of slavery.
It's too early for a Douglas Wilder statue, still alive, the first elected African-American governor, from Richmond and governor of Virginia. Oderus Urungus owned slaves and mostly shot fake cum on strangers until dying of a heroin overdose. |

Urungus is a terrible choice but still better than any of the treasonous losers fighting for the racist cause, including even Lee who was apparently opposed to monuments to the Confederates. It should definitely be someone else though. Lil Jon would be an improvement, and I'm sure they can think of someone better.
