17 hurt in huge blast during LAPD detonation of explosive devices

quote [ Authorities were in the process of seizing more than 5,000 pounds of illegal fireworks at the time of the explosion in South Los Angeles. ]

LAPD blows their bomb disposal truck up in a residential area and then lies about it on twitter. Some of the fireworks were being stored in our Bomb Squad trailer as a precautionary measure. Unknown at this time what caused an explosion.

The one ton roof of the container was found two blocks away.
