Here's one from the late 90s that I still love. I've been following the author, Gus Mueller, since about '97. He's had a daily blog for 20 years now. He was a pioneer, back in the days when it was still called a "journal".

Yay. High-resolution photographs of a hamster eating a dog biscuit, downloaded on my 0.5 megabit line, to view on my 1024 x 768 colour monitor. But do I have IE 6?

But what happened to the drone? Did it carry on getting higher and higher, until it overtakes the voyager probe?
