What I like about this essay is that it sticks to the actual, historical definition of Neoliberalism, not the blanket pejorative that some folks toss at moderate Democrats.

Right, because Neoliberal economics with a thin slice of progressive lip service on top is totally not Neoliberalism, in the same way that a cheeseburger is totally not a hamburger.
