Now we have proof of a medicinal use for marijuana.
This is big because right now, cannabis is a schedule 1 controlled substance in the US. For a drug to be schedule 1, it must have no known medical uses. The head of the DEA previously declined to reschedule cannabis because he claimed it had to medical use.
Since cannabis no longer fits the requirements to be a schedule 1 substance, it must now be rescheduled. I don't expect it will be, though.
